About Us

The Center for Leadership Capacity™ was founded in 2026 by Scott Knutson and Patrick McNeil, who recognized a critical gap in how organizations approach capacity building. While working with Fortune 500 companies, they observed that most capacity initiatives focused on adding resources rather than identifying and addressing the underlying Capacity Leakage™ that prevented optimal resource utilization.
This insight led to the development of our proprietary Capacity Leakage™ diagnostic framework. Built on established research in leadership, engagement, organizational effectiveness, and operational performance, the framework was designed to help organizations identify the hidden factors that suppress productive capacity. The methodology has been shaped through extensive organizational modeling and refined through ongoing dialogue with CFOs, COOs, CHROs, and other senior leaders. By combining quantitative assessment tools with qualitative organizational analysis, we provide a comprehensive view of Capacity Leakage™ and its impact on organizational performance.
Today, we work with mid-sized companies to help them identify if there is Capacity Leakage™, and if so, implement targeted interventions, and build sustainable leadership practices that drive long-term performance improvements.
